Technical Manager, Hospitality / Multi-Property Technical Chief (m/f/d)

Your mission

·       Overall responsibility for hotel technical services: Strategic and operational management of all technical systems, buildings and infrastructure across the entire hotel portfolio.

·        Team leadership & Partner Contract Management: Technical leadership of the in-house technical team and support for hotel management, as well as coordination, oversight and quality control of external service providers.

·       SFault Coordination & Uptime: Ensuring 24/7 operational readiness of critical plant systems in hotel operations.

·       Construction and refurbishment projects: Planning, budgeting and implementation of maintenance, modernisation and refurbishment projects whilst the hotel remains open.

·        Expansion & Commissioning: Technical support for new hotel openings, handover of new properties and ensuring a structured commissioning process.

·        Role as Health and Safety Officer: Responsibility for occupational safety, health and safety, fire safety, and compliance with all statutory operator obligations, standards and regulatory requirements at all sites.

·        Sustainability & Energy: Development and implementation of strategies for energy optimisation and the reduction of operating costs.

·        Interface with property owners / asset management: Central representation of tenants’ technical interests vis-à-vis owners, landlords and also sub-tenants; definition and enforcement of maintenance and handover obligations in accordance with tenancy and lease agreements.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

  • A degree in engineering (facility management, building services engineering, construction) or a solid grounding in a trade, supplemented by relevant further training and several years’ experience
  • Substantial leadership experience in a comparable role (multi-property hospitality sector, commercial property) as well as strong negotiation skills
  • A proven track record in managing refurbishment and construction projects, defect management and the handover of new properties
  • In-depth practical knowledge of HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing) and electrical engineering, as well as experience with modern building automation
  • You are a real go-getter with a strong hands-on approach who can immediately come up with a straightforward solution to any problem.
  • Travelling between the various locations is an adventure you look forward to, rather than a source of stress. A valid Category B driving licence is essential
  • You speak German fluently and can communicate well in English
